Whirligig Ted & Barb Alfred "Watermelon Cart" 13 of 25 Signed/Numbered RARE

This is an extremely rare and collectible Whirligig by Ted & Barb Alfred named "Watermelon Cart." It is a Limited Edition 13 of 25 Signed, Dated and Numbered. Only 3 of their whirligigs have been listed on eBay in the last 3 years, of which two are from my personal collection.
This whirligig stands an impressive 24" long by 18" tall and is an original Ted and Barbara design. This whirligig has wonderful detail and is designed to use the wind propeller in the back to activate the left arm of the cart driver to move the cart whip up and down. The whirligig also swivels 360 degrees on its base. Each piece that Ted and Barbara made was handcrafted so that even in such small limited editions no two are alike.
More about The Artists: The Whirligig is from Ted & Barbara Alfred, folk art artists. They were famous in the Whirligig collectors group. The Alfreds were very talented people and his whirligig-making venture started as a hobby after he was injured. Unfortunately, Ted and Barbara are no longer with us, but their whimsical contributions to handmade folk art whirligigs live on in their beautiful pieces.
