Vintage (1930s) Lion Brewery of New York City Aqua Blue Beer Bottle

Vintage Lion Brewery of New York City Aqua Blue Beer Bottle. The bottle has the Lion Brewery Logo (a male lion standing on his hind legs with his front paws resting on a keg) embossed on one side of the bottle and the words "LION BREWERY OF NEW YORK CITY. REGISTERED" embossed around the bottom.of the bottle.
To use this lovely light blue / aqua glass in a beer bottle was (and still is) quite unique in the bottling business. This distinctive bottle allowed Lion Brewery's products to stand a bit apart from their competition on the grocery stores' shelves...especially important during the Depression and Prohibition years.
We do not know the exact date this bottle was made or used, but given that the "Lion Brewery of New York City" operated from 1857 to 1941 and Prohibition in the USA ran from 1920 to 1933,
we are guessing
this bottle is from the early 1930s. We think Luon Brewery used this bottle for the sodas and "near beers" they made & brewed during Prohibition and then bottled beer in these once Prohibition ended. But we could be wrong...of you have any better information on this piece, please let us know and we'll update this post as appropriate.
Condition
is Good, Used. The bottle has some tiny (difficult to see) chips along one part of the top rim (see the fifth photo included with this post for a view of this issue). It has a small crack inside the bottom edge of the bottle (see the last photo for a MAGNIFIED view of this issue) and there is some schmutz on the inside of the bottle that we were unable to reach. See the 2nd from last photo.
