    Description

    ITEM DESCRIPTION:
Aretha Ferris Joule, born Quapaw, Oklahoma, in 1907, passed away 2005 in Springfield, Missouri, was an artist, author, art teacher (MSU), and much more. Her paintings of homespun country themes hang in museums, college collections (she art for the Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College anniversary brochure and celebration, that hangs in the offices, for instance), private collections, and are rarely available. From an estate, I'm very lucky to be offering a few of these. Note, she dated these by her name; someone else dated them on the back when they were acquired by them, in this case, 1996.
A stunning collection of greens, blues, and cats! This young farm boy, with his straw hat, plays with two kittens as mama cat watches. Signed and dated by artist, 1971. On canvas. No frame. A really nice example of primitive folk art.
This ships in a special FedEx ArtBox (which costs me!).
