    Description

PCGS 10c 1980-P Roosevelt dime struck on the copper core of a dime planchet, with both the obverse and reverse nickel clad layers having split off before strike.
An extremely rare error type, with around 8 examples of dimes known with dual missing clad layers. The coin weighs 1.4 grams, which is correct for a coin with both clad layers missing.
PCGS MS-62 Brown. Note, the white line across the obverse is a plastic piece of thread that for some reason is in the holder. If the buyer wanted it removed, we would submit the coin to PCGS for them at cost.
At Sullivan Numismatics we specialize exclusively in major mint errors, and maintain an inventory of well over 1000 error coins.
We sell through our website, but also through eBay, and coin shows.
