    Description

NGC Chile 2010 5 Pesos Struck on Feeder Finger
NGC Chile 2010 5 pesos struck struck on a feeder finger. The coin is struck on the end of the feeder finger, which is a replaceable part of the minting press used to feed planchets into the press.
The feeder fingers are typically made of a softer metal so as to hopefully not damage the dies in the even that the minting press gets out of sync and the feeder finger gets struck. If it is struck, it is removed and destroyed. However, this feeder finger escaped the Mint.
There are a small quantity known of struck feeder fingers, and we are able to offer this example at a reasonable price, and also slabbed in an NGC holder for an attractive presentation.
At Sullivan Numismatics, Inc we specialize in major mint errors, and maintain an inventory of over 1000 coins.
We sell through our website and also here on eBay.
Members of CONECA, ANA, FUN & both PCGS and NGC authorized dealers.
