Offered from a Local NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION is a great
antique canvas lined
LEATHER BUCKET or CANISTER with SWING HANDLE
for Cordite Ammunition or Fire
Made in ENGLAND and marked on the base
BL&G, LTD
(Barrow, Hepburn & Gale of  Bermondsey London)
and also No 73 1 (for size?)
There is a date but year is obscured and only month 3 is visible
Often called a CLARKSON CASE for the type of ammunition most often carried
It bears the Royal Crest and a large black "N" for Navy
151/2" tall 22 with handle extended
and 71/2"across top, 8 1/2" across bottom
Wear consistent with age, nicks and marks
and the top rim has a small section that is lifted but not missing
The crest is good as is the handle and interior is clean with a small
water stain near the top in same area where the damage is on rim
Perfect for kindling or umbrellas
