KISS Drum Ornament with Packaging - American Greetings/Carlton Cards Not Working

Pre-owned used in box KISS Drum Ornament from American Greetings/Carlton Cards. Ornament was taken out of the box and put of the tree every Christmas, then put back into the packaging. Box has some damage from normal storage and has a rip in the side from opening the box, as shown in pictures. The ornament at one time played music and lit up, but one of the spring contacts in the battery compartment has broken off. It may be fixable, but I am not sure how to try fixing it.
