    WALT DISNEY PRODUCTIONS
    Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck
    (1960s–70s)
    lithography on heavyweight paper, 8" x 10"
    These two (2) 8" x 10" color prints of
    Mickey Mouse
    and
    Donald Duck
were produced by Walt Disney Productions in the 1960s; they are called "fan cards" because they were often sent to persons who wrote a fan letter to the studio or distributed to those attending a Disney event. The picture of Mickey Mouse reproduces John Hench's 1953 painting created for the 25th anniversary of Mickey's debut in
    Steamboat Willie
(1928); that of Donald was inspired by his 1951 cartoon
    Out of Scale
