1883 Indian head cent. The "1" in the date was punched into the die in error well above the correct place for it. The tip of the "1", actually the left tip of the bottom serif on the base of the "1", can be clearly seen showing at the neck of the Indian. It is just above the point of the neck on the bust, and just below the beads the Indian has around his neck. The coin has strong detail on all the main details of feathers, "LIBERTY", and the face. The reverse is likewise strong in detail in the wreath and shield. Both sides are nice medium to dark brown in color.
